How we shoot

Quiet observation.
Honest light.

01

Witness, don't direct

We move quietly through your day — present but never intrusive. The best frames happen between the planned moments, so we stay close and keep the camera ready.

02

Light as it is

We work with natural and available light. No strobes at the ceremony, no harsh flashes at dinner. If the room is dim and amber, that is the story the image tells.

03

Edit with restraint

Colour stays close to what your eyes saw — warm, honest, with just enough lift to feel timeless. We resist the heavy preset that dates a photo to its decade.

The craft

Tools chosen for
what the light requires.

We shoot on full-frame mirrorless systems — quiet shutters that disappear in ceremonies, fast primes that breathe in low light. The camera is invisible. The moment isn't.

Every image is hand-edited, never batch-processed. We spend around three minutes on each photograph — adjusting tone, shadow, and colour temperature until what you see on screen matches what was felt in the room.

The photographer

Twelve years of
watching people love each other.

I am Lianne, and I have been photographing weddings and portraits in Kuala Lumpur since 2014. I started as a photojournalist for a local daily — spending years learning how to be invisible in rooms where something real was happening. That practice never left me.

Most of my couples tell me they forgot the camera was there. That is the entire goal. I want the photographs to look like your memory of the day, not a record of a performance.

I work alone or with a trusted second shooter, take no more than forty bookings a year, and reply to every enquiry personally within 24 hours.

Questions

A few things people ask
before they reach out.

How do we book a date with you?

Send us your wedding date via WhatsApp or email. We will confirm availability and send a short booking form. A 30% deposit holds the date — nothing is confirmed until that is received. We take no more than forty bookings a year, so dates fill early.

Do you travel outside Kuala Lumpur?

Yes — we cover weddings across Malaysia. Peninsular destinations within a 3-hour drive are included without surcharge. East Malaysia, Singapore, and international destinations are quoted on travel and accommodation costs.

Do you offer wedding albums?

We work with a fine-art press in Kuala Lumpur for heirloom albums — lay-flat, linen-bound, archival inks. Albums are designed collaboratively and quoted separately. Most couples add one 6–8 months after the wedding once the gallery is reviewed.

How long until we receive the photographs?

Galleries are delivered within 4–6 weeks of the wedding date. Corporate events are returned in 7 working days. Portrait sessions in 10 working days. Rush delivery (within 2 weeks) is available on wedding packages for an additional fee.

Do you bring a second shooter?

Second-shooter coverage is available from RM 1,200 for wedding packages. We recommend it for ceremonies with more than 150 guests or when the preparation and ceremony locations are more than 20 minutes apart. We work with a small regular team so there is no cold pairing on the day.
